The American Crawl

      Deirdre Scott is a woman approaching middle age fast, or already in it, she can’t tell.  What she knows is that she has had too many disappointments, too many crazy relationships and not enough joy.  After several blows to her support system and the people she loves dropping like flies, she decides to reach back in time to the most pleasant male companion she ever had.  However, the years between encounters, provides more obstacles than she imagined possible, in forms that she must decipher as she tries to find out if love can go back in time.

          On her journey, she begins to understand herself better, but not before standing on the shores of a beautiful river, seriously considering suicide.  During her confusion, she must figure out her own negative programming, her obstacles and how to move forward, or not.

         American Crawl is about the hard-strokes of life, and how to swim through them, told in the alternating male and female voices of a couple whose lives meander and coincide, over a quarter of a century for at least one lifetime, and maybe more.
